67/120 - Zoo-riffic

Do you know what it feels like when you are in the middle of a few BIG projects at one time and there does not seem to be enough hours in the day? And then you pause and look around and think ... well it will still be here later. That's what we did this morning. So much going on but it was a beautiful morning so we decided to take McKenzie to the Zoo. It was her first time. We saw lots of stuff but she had her favourites. Ran in to our friend Jennifer (that used to live behind us who was there with her kindergarten class). Saw some stuff. McKenzie picked up lots of rocks and sticks. Not a bad way to spend a few hours.
We saw pigs ... some sort of African warthog like thing that I forgot to write down the name of...oops.
And fish...all the different fish were a HUGE hit with McKenzie.
And peacocks.
McKenzie got to wander around...which I think she liked best of all. FREEDOM.
And Elephants.
Lots more animals but not a lot of animal pictures. We paused for a break for Mommy at this open area and McKenzie had fun exploring.

...and running...
...and looking at flowers...
...and sniffing the flowers....
...and Daddy helped her with her jumping.
All in all a good morning!

66/120 - Jump!

On the move in my super cute outfit! Places to go...things to play with!
The other day I said the word Jump and McKenzie said it back to me. I was suprised as I did not know that she knew it. Tonight I said it again and jumped while I did. Here's McKenzie saying Jump and showing you her attempt at jumping.

65/120 - Best thing EVER!

We have a sandbox and McKenzie thinks it is the BEST THING EVER!!!!!! However I am the worst Mommy in the world because I wouldn't let her sleep in it and made her come inside. The neighbours heard her screaming...he really did cause he came to apologize thinking his dogs had scared her... nope just a mean old Mom.
We had it narrowed down to three and weren't sure which one to get her and then Mike decided we should get this one. I said "Sure. Why?" and he said "Cause Grandma will like the colour!"

64/120 - Catching up

Saturday Morning
McKenzie sure does love playing with those magnets.
How many of us could sustain this croutch position?

That's better...now I can reach them all!

And put them in my bucket!
Make sure they go ALL the way in the bucket.

Gotta get those last few.
Saturday Night

...well maybe magnets are just fun to play with. hee hee

62/120 - What's for dinner?

MMMM turkey cheddar smokies...Good to eat...Good to SQUISHHHHHHH!
Yup, it's mush!

Last night McKenzie decided since the dogs sit beside her and watch her eat, it was about time she sit beside them and watch them eat!

61/120 - She "nose" how to have fun.

So we are trying to teach McKenzie body parts. We started with her belly. We would ask where her belly was and she would point to it. Then we would ask where her nose was. For the first little bit she would come over and honk your nose. Close but not quite! Then she got good at pointing to her belly and her nose. Lately if you ask where her belly is she does this...
I'm not sure if she is confused or if she just figures she will cut out the middle man so to speak and not waste time pointing to her belly knowing our next question will be where is her nose...We had a similar problem with the dogs when we taught them sit and down. they knew they got a treat after sit and another after down so they just cut out the sit hoping to get both treats at once.
McKenzie decided to try her hand at hanging a spoon from her nose...she has a little work to do.

McKenzie has never been a very cuddly girl. She started blowing kisses and it is so cute. Well today she started giving kisses...kisses for Mom, kisses for Grandma, kisses for Dad (see below) and she even chased Zoe around for 2 minutes trying to kiss her...Zoe politely refused.

Can you find the little girl in this picture? McKenzie hopes you can't. Her new favourite game is hiding on us and jumping out screaming in enjoyment. She thinks it is hilarious when we "find" her.
My how she's grown in just a few months... http://mckenziesmoments.blogspot.com/2009/03/31120-how-to-open-door-15-month-old.html

59/120 - bits of this...

I have been eagerly awaiting pictures from Maks' first birthday. Thought I would post some of my own taken that day.
Opening his gift from McKenzie. McKenzie earnestly chatting with his Great-Nana.
What's in here Mom?

It's all for me! Waaahahahaha.

McKenzie helping keep things "clean" at the party.

And showing Maks and his cous' how to play with Maks' new toys.

Taken tonight.
Dad! Stop watching HOCKEY...

...and pay attention when I read you a story!

Best Buddies.

For those that have not had the pleasure...this is McKenzie's best bud Lambie.

Reading ... no one can say she is not unique.
