59 - Part B

And your special co-host for Part B of tonight's post, my hubby Mike asked that he be allowed to post tonight...
O Canada....
To all the Canadian athletes, both medalists and non-medalists, thank you for making us proud!
Signed...a proud Canadian!

59 -Part A - Dr Gyorkos I presume

McKenzie found her digital thermometer tonight and spent a large portion of the evening declaring she was a doctor, running up to Daddy and "fixing" his head or taking his tempurature and then telling him he was all better. She found her home depo smock and asked to have her "doctor" outfit put on.
Part of her health diagnosis for mommy, was to chase her around and around and around the table.

58 - Yee Haw!

Barbie decided to get dressed up and go for a ride on Harley tonight! Complete with "Yee Haw" and "Hang on Tight" sound effects.
Harley was not quite as enthused about the game as McKenzie and Barbie were.
"Please don't let her come back?!?!"

57 - Definition of...

Spying:

to observe (a person, place, enemy, etc.) secretively or furtively with hostile intent.
{OR}
to inspect or examine or to search or look for closely or carefully.
Does it still count as spying if the neighbours know you are watching their place and they watch your place in return???

56 - painting

So we are thinking of painting our main floor. Actually we have been thinking of it for awhile and anyone who has been over in the last year or so and seen the unfinished baseboard and putty on the walls can attest to that. I found a fun tool on Benjamin Moore's website where you can upload a picture of your room and then change the colours on the walls.
I love the green we have on the walls and it went really well with our old furniture and light birch floor.
With our new darker furniture and tile floor, it just isnt' the same and comes across as just not right.
Here is our living room now...
...and here it is in Benjamin Moore Brown Horse.

Here is our kitchen now...

...and here it is in Brown Horse and Stardust on the cabinets (Stardust looks like it should be darker from the chip so there would not be quite this contrast once painted)

And finally our entry way now...

...and here in Brown Horse.
I like this brown. It seems to have enough brown to be warm but enough grey undertone to pick up the greyer tile...we shall see...still have to get the hubby's buy in!

54 - Mmmmmm....cupcakes

Yesterday I came home sick as I had a horrible headache that did not go away until midnight. It was horrible. Today I have a sore throat but no headache. Mike called me at lunch time and asked if I could come home again as he has a sore throat and was throwing up. I talked to my boss and after backing up about 3 steps said I could go but what the heck was going on at our place.
Taking advantage of the half day McKenzie and I headed out to the new cupcake place in McKenzie Towne.
They have a children's table set up and the cupcakes are yummy...what I got to taste that is. McKenzie took them both and if I tried to get one she held up her finger and said "Ah ah ah!

53 - So smart!

The picture of a face that Momy drew.
The picture of a face that McKenzie drew.

I love her imagination. This baby is in space and flying around and it comes over and saves the Mommy and then they fly around for awhile and baby has to save mommy again and then the baby tells mommy it is time to go home.

52 - Busy Sunday

Lazy Sundays are for amateurs! This morning Daphne and the kids stopped by to play.

They found our 3D glasses and wanted to get in on the action.

Pretty girl!
They stayed for lunch and the kids played all morning while Daphne and I crafted.

As they got ready to leave, it was hugs...

...and kisses all around.
(this one lasted for a really really long time...hmmmm, I think Mr Bates was making a move on our girl!)
After this McKenzie decided not to nap so we ran over to Heather and Gords to drop off a gift card for Shelby that we owed her for babysitting. I was telling them about the Nuwave Oven I was going to use for dinner while Maks and McKenzie played.
For Heather, this is the Nuwave Oven that I used to make dinner tonight.
Then Grandpa Gyorkos came over for dinner.
And after I cooked a nice dinner...this is how Daddy and Grandpa "ate" dinner.

51 - Smile!

Mike had a chance to hang up some artwork we've had for awhile.
While I was taking a picture of it, McKenzie wandered by. I asked her to pose by the fish and smile...this is what I got.

50 - Better late than never

Took the pics yesterday but so tired went to bed not long after McKenzie.
Broke out the matching game McKenzie got for Christmas yesterday and while she was not up for the "real" rules she did have fun matching the tiles with the pictures.

49 - Bribes

We have had some good potty progress lately and to keep encouraging it we told McKenzie that her and I would go shopping tonight for some new Barbie accessories since she has played with Barbie every night this week and seems to quite like her now. She seemed quite excited.
Here's what we came looking for...
...but McKenzie wanted to look at instruments...

...and cars or anything except dolls.
And she picked out this. A shooting hoops game with arcade like sounds.
She took a few practice runs...
...and eventually got really good until she scored almost every time!

46 - Ahhhhh Sugar, Sugar

Dark Chocolate Ice Cream lips
And the resulting sugar high.
Is it wrong that it made me sooooo happy when McKenzie spontaneously picked up her Barbie and started playing with her and brushing her hair.
