Open door policy

Mommmmmyyyyy i think you left my door WAY too open.

Oh, what happens if I leave it too open?

The monsters can get in.

This conversation made me laugh tonight as I remember giving very explicit instructions to my parents on exactly how open my door could be at night. Not too tight not too open. If it wasn't just right I couldn't sleep. Guess it's genetic.

Firsts

Went to the movies for the first time with Kenzie today.


Maks and his parents came. They invited us to come and picked us up to go to Cars 2. Does this make it Maks and Kenzie's first date?


Maks came over for the afternoon and then Kenzie and I went over to Heather's for a yummy dinner and roasted marshmallows. Another first for Kenzie.

Um...chocolate anyone?

Trip to the mall

Rides + Jugo Juice = good night for Kenzie.

Puppy love

Puppy love.


Oh wait...the puppy may NOT be loving it.

Kenzie got a cold. Then she passed it on to me. Then she passed it on to Mike and my mom. She's all about sharing. Now her cold has turned into pink eye. She's on the mend and feeling better.

Computer dating??

Hung out with the Carrieres tonight. Maks has his own "puter". It was a big hit with the kids.

Happy 3.5 Kenzie

Kenzie is 3 1/2 today. We had some left over cupcakes from dinner last night so I put a candle in one and let her blow it out.

My new commute home from work.


Due to so many routes having construction on them, my commute home went from35-40 mins to an 60-75 mins. Since I was leaving work at 4:30 and had to pick Kenzie up by 5:30 this did not work as I am sure ypu van imagine.
So, I changed my shift and tried some new ways home. The best way so far is to actually leave the city limits, cut south on a range road and head back into the city further south. It adds 15 minutes of drive time but removes 25 minutes of construction time so I end up 10 minutes to the good. Still takes 45-50 minutes but I get a nice drive in the country which I find very relaxing.
