Pretty girl

SMILE!

McKenzie discovered the side windows today.
Pretty girl
Looking good in her jacket.
This jacket was a baby gift from a friend at work. First time she is wearing it.

Fun new Toy

While Mommy was getting dressed this morning, McKenzie found a fun new toy to play with.

got milk?

Toy Box

I got a new toy box! Want to see?

We used to keep McKenzie's "downstairs" toys in a small basket. She has dragged enough stuff downstairs now that we thought it about time to get her an actual Toy Box. Found this at Home Sense and it is nice because it has no lid. She is not quite big enough to work a lid and this way she still has access to the toys when she wants to. The other nice thing is since it has working wheels she uses it like a toy and pushes or pulls it around the floor with her.

Splashing good time

Mike was telling me how McKenzie is like a splashing machine in her bath lately. She just goes crazy kicking her legs and splashing her hands. We thought it would be fun to capture it on film so, of course, when we tried to capture it today there was minimal splashing. Still fun to watch her enjoying her bath though.

Random things

I asked McKenzie to smile for the camera. This is what I got. Looks like certain looks are hereditary as this was the face I used to make for a Smile request when I was little...she did get something from me after all...lol.
Gonna get you Mom.

Here I am.
Relaxing after dinner with Dad and watching a little TV. She had to pop her jeans button as she ate so much stew and dumplings.

I FOUND THEM---WOOHOO

Okay so I know they say that you can never really get rid of anything on a computer but I thought I had done a really good job on these pics...however...I managed to find them. Here are some pics from this morning and one from the other day. Hope you enjoy. 19 for your viewing pleasure.
Taken the other day - snack time - goldfish crackers and juice while spying on the neighbours.
Saying goodbye to Daddy, as he is off to work.
Reading my book
Oooh Scary part.
That's better...they all live happily ever after.
This toy tastes good Shelby and Maks...thanks for letting me use it. (by the way we really should return this to Maks next time we see you Kari)
This pic is for my mom. Even though McKenzie is not actually sucking her thumb in this picture the hand position must bring back some memories for you mom.
I will have you all know that this mirror looked clean to the naked eye as I had cleaned it yesteday with windex...once I saw this I was grossed out.
Busy girl on the move.
Got to read another book now.
It's getting good...better sit up.
Let's go visit the baby in the much cleaner mirror. I had to get up and reclean the mirror. Used a damp paper towel and then a dry one ... no windex...so much cleaner.
Our tall baby girl
Coming to get Mom
WAIT ... what's that coming on TV
I'll be back later Mom
Gotta watch my show now.

Lost pics

My apologies to my loyal blog followers. Yesterday was busy and I forgot to post my pics. Today I took a whole bunch of what I thought were really neat shots and was going to post yesterday's and todays...and then...I tried to download them from the camera and ended up deleting all 48 I had taken instead...Yeah me! I did this while McKenzie was down for her morning nap and right after she woke up I took her to her dayhome for a few hours thinking I would get some more when we got home. I took her home after picking her up and fed her a bottle and changed her. She fell asleep in my arms and I put her in her crib around 4:30 and she is still sleeping. Don't know if she is down for the night but don't count on any pics today either. Again, my apologies.
Today was a rough day for me. McKenzie is 11months old today. This is the last 6th of the month we will ever have where she is Zero years old. After this she will be one. ONE! My God! How did this happen. I thought I was dealing so well with her getting older...today was a rough day. I will make sure to post tomorrow...oh hey wait...here's a pic...

...these are the new winter boots I bought for McKenzie. Spent way too much on them but have tried every other type I could find and the little girl will not bend her foot to fit in a regular shoe/boot. These are like waterproof bags that have a fleese lining and stronger rubber bottoms. You sinch them on ... no bending required....YEAH. Only hitch is that these are a med size (good for 6-18 months so they say) and her foot feels like it is right at the end. I will take her with me tomorrow to the store and see how a large fits her. Hope she grows into these feet!

Sippy progress

Some progress on the sippy cup front. McKenzie picked it up herself and...chewed on it...but at least she progressed from making us hold it for her while she chewed on it. She is also drinking out of it ... but we still need to hold it for that. Baby steps!

Ice cream montage

I was eating ice cream and McKenzie crawled across the room and climbed up me to get some. So we shared, though I think McKenzie feels I did not divide the bowl evenly.
What do you have Mom?
That looks good. Think I'll help myself.
Thanks Mom.
This is good!
More please.
I think it's my turn again Mom!
Come on Mom I want more!

Princess

While we were trick or treating at my work on Friday, Sandy, my boss, gave us a little dollar store crown for the princess. We put it on her this morning at breakfast...awww...what a cutie!
