52a/120 - Hair raising experience

We are so mean!

McKenzie has a really dry scalp right now. We have been trying and trying to get it under control. We were using baby oil but her hair was always oily even after a bath and hair wash. We have switched to lotion in her hair at night and washing it out in the morning and it works just as well as the baby oil but does not leave her as greasy. Will talk to the doc about it in June as the dry scalp just never goes away.

The lotion does make for some interesting styling experiences though!

52/120 - Canadian right of passage

The "Hole-y" Grail.

Or at least it was when I was a kid. Whenever Mom said we were going for donuts I would get so excited about getting a chocolate dip. I must say as an adult I don't find them nearly as good as when I was a kid, however, I decided it was time to introduce McKenzie to this Canadian right of passage...her first chocolate dip.

And it didn't have anything to do with the fact that I had a free donut roll up rim to use up either!

(McKenzie did not actually eat all that much of the donut. I broke it up into small pieces after I got a few pictures and she ate less than half of one small piece and a bit of the chocolate icing, just in case anyone was worried I actually fed her a whole donut!)

50/120 - Basement update

My cousin Duane is a great guy. He really really is...and he doesn't read my blog that I know of so just putting that out there. :) He is helping us finish our basement and McKenzie is in heaven as she thinks he is the coolest thing there is. Everytime he comes in the house she beams and always wants to go to him. During a lunch break today she decided his lap was the best seat in the house.

Yup, I think he`s cool!

I`ll even share my juice with you.

Tuesday evening Duane is coming back to finish this up and then Wed he and a friend are coming to help Mike run the electrical...it`s getting exciting!

Little sponge. That should have been McKenzie's name. She is learning and observing so fast it is mind boggling. She likes to carry my purses around slung over her arm...just like mom.

48/120 - Hair Raising Experience

What do you mean I don't have much hair ... I have enough to put curlers in it!

I don't know what is up with McKenzie's teeth in this shot but between the curlers and the teeth she is the perfect Hillbilly Millie.

These velcro rollers I bought for myself made the best toy as she sat and put the red ones into the blue one for over 30 minutes quietly playing away. The best part was that once they fell through the blue one, they stuck to her pj's so they were easy for her to find!

47/120 - Cutie pie and a new haircut

Mommy has a new haircut...what...you thought it would be McKenzie??!!

While Mommy had her haircut, Daddy and Duane worked in the basement finishing all the walls...Yeah a furnace room!

Someone stole Mommy's drink box.

Hey this is more fun then my sippy cup...it comes apart and I can fling the juice around!

Back to the sippy cup and her new colouring book from her trip to jail. McKenzie was with her babysitter, Shelby, and Shelby's family today while I was having my haircut and they went on a field trip to the downtown jail. Apparently, McKenzie was charming the cops...you go honey!
